July has always been one of my favorite months of the year. We are in the full swing of summer and I’ve always felt the 4th of July was a very special day as it represents democracy and freedom. Throughout my life, the 4th of July has always been filled with baseball (me playing, my kids playing, and Major League games), parades, barbecues, and fireworks.Â
This year will be much different. Not only are most of these things not happening, but my perception of how all Americans feel about our country has drastically changed in recent months. I have tried to educate myself on how all people in the United States feel, but I still have a long way to go.
I’m going to use this 4th of July to reflect on what the United States stands for and how WFAI and me, individually, can help all people live happily, and in equality, in the country that I love.
I also have seen a lot of people not take time away since the start of the COVID-19 crisis and this week’s video talks about the importance of taking time off from work, as well as making sure members of your team do the same.
It’s easy to say that you need to catch up on patient visits and recover missed revenue from the COVID crisis, but much research has proven that people function at a higher level when they take time away from work. Spend some time this weekend planning for the second half of 2020, as well as time away from the office.
Have a great holiday weekend.
