Lately, I’ve been reading a lot on how businesses need to differentiate themselves from their competition in order to stay ahead in their industry. The best businesses know what sets them apart and communicates it on a strategic level. These are the businesses that are the most successful.
Twenty years ago, my dad and I were at the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and attended a lecture on marketing. A well-known professor from Dartmouth College Business School was telling the audience that doctors and medical facilities did a really poor job at marketing and in particular, differentiating themselves from the pack. It totally resonated with us and still sticks in my memory today.
If you ask doctors what differentiates them, I guarantee you will basically get the same answer from nearly all. If that is the case, then they really haven’t differentiated themselves.
This week’s video is about differentiating your business from the rest of the pack and gaining a competitive market advantage.
Have a great week.

P.S. I share a few of the differentiating aspects of Weil Foot & Ankle Institute and still keeping a few of them for ourselves. 😊
