I give presentations regularly. Whether it’s surgical, clinical, FABI meetings, or business meetings, I’m super diligent about proper preparation.
Every time I give a new presentation, I spend a lot of time making sure I know the subject material. Even in cases where the presentation is similar to something I’ve delivered in the past, I make sure to create something fresh, new, and specific to the topic. In doing this, it forces me to take a deeper dive into the subject than I might otherwise consider.
Between this week and next, I’m delivering three different business presentations. The time to prepare for these presentations has been very consuming. However, I have taken away one big positive from it. I really understand the material in a way that I might not have before. This process has forced me to become more of an expert on the topic.
As I think about this, I would like to suggest that each of you consider presenting aspects of your business to others.
This week’s video speaks to how you should tackle that and why.
Have a great week.
