How many quarters are in your pocket?

We are heading into the unofficial ending of the summer with Labor Day weekend upon us.  It’s been the most unusual summer of my life and probably for most of you too.  For the first time since early March, I am going to get some real time away and unwind.

Last weekend, I spent some time with two of our younger Associate doctors for dinner at our home.  I think it’s really important to spend time with the people who are supporting your organization away from the day to day grind of the office.  I like to get to know people better and understand their goals.  I want to understand those personal and professional goals and see what the organization and I can do personally to help them achieve them.

Over the course of the conversation, I want to know what we are doing right as an organization and where we can improve.  It’s important to be open to constructive criticism.

As we talked, one of those doctors talked about an epiphany she had and it really pleased me and made me think of a suggestion that someone who I really respect gave me years ago.

Take a look at this week’s video where I relate those conversations and know you will find them helpful.

Have a great Holiday weekend.
