Over the past week or so, I’ve had some interesting experiences with respect to the ongoing pandemic and the efforts to vaccinate as many people as possible, as quickly as possible.
This is not a political statement. This is a public health statement. This is about our world returning to some semblance of normalcy. This is about getting kids back in school, grandparents seeing their families, businesses getting back to…..well….business as usual.
I firmly believe it is the responsibility of the healthcare community to lead through this time by getting vaccinated and strongly encouraging others to do so.
Take a look at this week’s video where I share some interesting information and history surrounding our current state and previous efforts towards mass vaccinations.
For some reason, this has become political. As physicians, we hate when politics enter healthcare. We complain about it all the time. Don’t let political posturing distract us from what is important….protecting humans and taking care of people.
That starts with getting vaccinated and telling others to do so as well.
Have a great week.
