Sitting in the treatment chair

Last week, my wife, who is a Podiatrist, had an uncomfortable experience before, during, and after, a dental procedure.

As she was telling me about it and we talked about how it should make us think about our own patient’s experience, I thought it would be a great topic for this week.

I’m not sure any of us, as medical professionals, give enough thought, or pay enough attention to the small details that can really impact the patient experience that I discuss in this week’s video.

I think I do a pretty good job and patients regularly comment on how thorough I am with explanations, but we can always be better.

Hopefully, this will stimulate some self-reflection for everyone.

Have a great week.
