As we’ve moved into March and looking to finish the first quarter of the year, I routinely hear many of the same issues from people across the country, year after year. Â Patient visits are down, revenue is down, and Medicare/insurance companies are making it tougher to make a living. Â With inflation, cost of labor increasing and world affairs influencing it all, things are tough.
Add to those recent developments that Medicare will be recouping money from doctors who performed amniotic and placenta injections going back years, which will affect hundreds if not thousands of podiatrists to the tune of millions of dollars.
There are some other things that I’ve recently read regarding insurance companies that make it even more maddening.
