I was first introduced to FABI during a webinar where I realized that for the previous 10 years I had been running a practice and not a business.
My Partner and I decided to attend the FABI annual event. It was at that meeting where things really shifted for us. We became motivated, enlightened and had more “AHA” moments than any conference we have ever attended. At the end of the FABI conference we had our personal and business goals. We had a 90-day strategy, 3 and 5-year goals. We also committed to becoming a 2 million dollar practice and I personally wanted to see a 17% increase in my salary.
Since that time, our practice has grown 140K, our Initial office visits (IOV) have increased from 13-20% and I am on par to have a 20% increase in my personal salary.

Before I went to the FABI event my work/life balance was unhealthy . I was chasing charts, had little innovation., and I felt stagnant and professionally isolated. I was home every night for dinner but mentally still at work. I decided to attend FABI in February 2019 in Miami. I brought an open mind, my desire for greater freedom, as well as my key employee. I wanted to know what I didn’t know.
It worked. The FABI event has helped me in so many areas of my business. FABI invites only the most innovative and profitable vendors to its yearly meeting and while there I decided to lease a laser from one of the vendors that were participating in the event. So now I’m able to offer laser therapy to my patients which is a cash based modality. It has been an excellent addition to our practice for both acute and chronic conditions.
We currently schedule between 40-50 laser appointments per week and growing. This month I am on pace for over $10,000 in laser collections. I’ve hired two part- time laser techs and I will soon be leasing at least one more laser for my Renton office and one for my Silverdale office. The main problem isn’t patients using the modality it is servicing the demand.

“Impossible in a rural setting”. That’s what I was told soon after taking over a little practice in northern Wyoming. My dream was to develop a practice with multiple locations and doctors providing care and helping others as I supported myself, my staff and our families.
My financial goal was to have a $1,000,000 practice. I worked hard year after year and we actually got within $500 one year but no matter how hard I worked and how much I sacrificed in my personal life I couldn’t hit what I was beginning to think was an impossible goal.
