I’m Lowell Weil, Jr., and in 2013 I created Foot and Ankle Business Innovations. I created FABI because I saw an absence of opportunity for podiatrists to learn how to run their practice like a business.  There were billing and coding courses but nothing out there that really helped doctors run and monetize a business.  My family has a long legacy of educating podiatrists and I saw this as the next step in helping the profession.

In January 2014, we held the first FABI Event.  It was a resounding success and has grown every year since. Over 700 podiatrists have attended one of our in person FABI Events.  FABI has made a hugely positive impact on their businesses, their patient care and their lives.

For the last seven years, I’ve been coaching a small group of podiatrists and we’ve helped more than 50 podiatrists double (and even triple) their revenue — while bringing home more profits than they ever thought possible.

During this same period, under my leadership, the Weil Foot & Ankle Institute has grown from 14  podiatrists at 8 locations to more than 40 podiatrists at over 30 locations in four different states.  

We have 5 extremity MRI’s, 6 full time physical therapists, a pathology lab, pharmacy services, a dedicated research team, retail and a host of other ancillary services for our doctors and patients.  

We have grown to over 220 employees with a top level management team including Chief Operating Officer, Director of Finance and Accounting, Director of Human Resources, a mergers and acquisitions team, a 17 member billing department, a 19 member call center, a marketing and video team, and the staff to support them.

I have also started an intellectual property company with two orthopedic foot and ankle surgeons where we have created an innovative concept on manufacturing and internal and external fixation for trauma and foot and ankle – expanding our leverage for continuity income, and making opportunities to invest available to members of our Mastermind.
