It’s no surprise to any of you that Podiatrists have to work harder to get the same recognition compared to other specialties. I’ve personally watched the progression of Podiatry into the mainstream of the United States Medical community my entire life. However, there are still biases and prejudices that exist from other medical practitioners, patients, society, and the media. It is a constant struggle to overcome those challenges and show the world what we all know…..Podiatrists in the United States provide the best and most comprehensive foot and ankle care.
During my recent trip with my family to the Middle East, I had a moment of reflection during an ATV ride in the desert of Israel about how that country has dealt with the constant challenge of enemies at its borders and the ongoing struggles of being accepted on the world stage.
I don’t, for a second, intend to minimize the struggles of a people and country and the impact to other people in the region, but rather using a much bigger geopolitical issue to reflect on our daily lives and businesses.
