To Mask or Not to Mask

Memorial Day weekend seemed to start a new chapter in the Covid world in the United States.  As the weather improved, States started loosening their requirements and people began getting out of their homes for more than necessities, a whole new level of concerns have now emerged.  Some people want to return to all pre-Covid life without restrictions, while others are still concerned to downright fearful about leaving their home.

As medical professionals, I think we need to err more on the side of caution in order to show leadership and protect those around us.

However, as these changes are occurring and the stark differences in attitudes from region to region, person to person and media outlet to media outlet, we need to be thoughtful on how we handle the challenges to patient care and our businesses that come with this unknown.

In this week’s video, I discuss some of the challenges that we have faced personally in the recent days as well as our strategies going forward to provide a safe patient care and working environment for the foreseeable future.  Furthermore, we all need to consider how people’s reaction to Covid may influence these things and be prepared to make some tough decisions along the way.

It is important to put plans in place for your practice/business so you can consistently deliver a message that you want to convey and not leave anything to chance.

Feel free to leave comments below on what you are doing to address these challenges.

Have a great week.
